2015 is Coming to an End

As the year comes to a close, the Dolls would like to take a moment to extend a huge thank you to all of our friends, family, and fans for all their support this year. We love and appreciate you all!

We would also like to say thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors: Shakers, DHAGS Graphic Design, JDP Creations, City Rats Apparel, Faiveley Transport, and of course the Skate Palace. You all have done so much for us this year, we really couldn’t have done it all without you!

Another big thanks goes out to all the leagues we had the pleasure to play against this season. We had a good year and we look forward to the opportunity to play each of you again! So, good luck to you all in the coming season. We will see you on the track!

Speaking of next season, we have our schedule in the works! We know you’re all excited to come out to see some derby action, so we will have next season’s schedule up as soon as all has been confirmed. Until then, make note that our first home bout of the season will be Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Skate Palace against the Upstate Roller Girl Evolution (URGE)!

The Dolls also invite you out for their first public event of the year: On Saturday, February 13, the Dolls will be headed to a different kind of rink to show support to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits as they take on the Norfolk Admirals! Not only that, but SDD will be selling pucks for chuck-a-puck! So come on out to say hello, grab a puck or five, and enjoy another exciting sport on skates!

Next year will be a big year for the Dolls as they are pleased to announce the formation of the Upstate South Carolina Roller Derby (USCRD) league. USCRD is comprised of the Spartanburg Deadly Dolls, the Carolina Atom Bombs, and the Spartanburg Jr. Rollers! Additionally, USCRD and URGE have formally agreed to collaborate and develop a unified roller derby presence in Upstate South Carolina in 2016. That’s right, not only are there several women’s 18 and older teams in the Upstate, but there is a men’s 18 and older team, as well as the newest addition of a junior’s ages 6-17 team. If you have ever wanted to come play roller derby, there has never been a better time than now; be sure to check our website for practice times.

See you all in 2016!
